Who else wants to be happy now?

Check-in with yourself: What are your happiness indicators in your current job?

Before I started my journey of living and working abroad, I told myself, “This is it. I’m finally going to be happy.”

I thought that happiness existed in every corner of the world except mine.

I proved myself wrong, but that conclusion did not show until I did a happiness audit.

Cliché as it may be, the pandemic and my adventures in a new country changed my perspective.

In a post-pandemic world where nobody wants to be called a bore, not even an accountant, I reflected on what happiness meant for me all these years.

  • Is it my work or the things I do outside work?

  • Will it be easier to make myself happy or to make other people happy?

If you asked yourself the same questions and you haven’t figured it out yet, I hope you'll learn a thing or two from my journey.

If you can relate, that's great. If not, that's ok too.

I was happy when I wrote this—that's essential.

Insights and knowledge sharing belong to those moments that bring me joy.

In the next email, I’ll share with you how I did my personal happiness audit.

But for now, I invite you to reflect on these questions:

  • Which aspects of your job would you be happy to go away?

  • Which aspects of your job would you want to do more of?

  • And how do you structure your day, so that you can do more of what makes you happy, and less of what you don’t?

You’re invited to our webinar: Landing the job, loving the life!

If you’re an aspiring migrant, or you want to transition to another country, this webinar is for you. You’ll gain some insights on:

  • How to job search in a different country (using Chiara’s smart strategy “Project 100”)

  • Plus, what are the mistakes to avoid when preparing for the move?

  • And what is it we wish we knew before living and working abroad

I’ll send a separate invitation via Zoom. Feel free to decline or accept depending on your availability.

PS. Have you read “Survive and Thrive” yet? Share your favorite insights or tips from the e-book and tag me via LinkedIn/Facebook wherever we are connected. Until next time!
