Should you share your story?
To translate the boring, static figures into meaningful narratives
At the end of each filing period, this is what the public sees
A full financial statement highlighting the company’s financial position and results of operation
These are what they do not see
The story of an accountant who became a CPA to save up for his dream
The story of an auditor who heard about his dad’s passing while on a break from doing tie-outs
The story of the CFO who had to skip a daughter’s birthday party to finish reviewing each page of the financials
And many other stories—both exciting and not, ordinary and extraordinary
If you’re an accountant, will you undertake the mission?
To discover the story behind every financial statement
To translate the boring, static figures into meaningful narratives
To sift the ordinary between the extraordinary
And to find that little nugget of wisdom, that underrated skill, and too-often-ignored knowledge among daily experiences
If storytelling interests you, help create stories and experiences to shape accountants of the future.
